Top Level Category issues

How do I change the slug for the top level category? It is product but I want to use /product for another page.

Also, the top level category doesn't seem to use the selected template, even if it is the default. It comes out as a very plain page.

How do I:

Change the slug for the top level category?
Get the top level category to use a template?

Hi Rox,

Okay sure.

You can do this within editing any Category, edit the Item Slug and save.
Sure, so all Categories should use the chosen template. Would you be able to please provide an example where this doesn't?

Yes, the slug editing is now an option with the category. Wasn't before from what I recall. Re the templates, we found another way around this but I can't recall the site or what we did.
